Choice & Consequence:

Eating healthy can be a hassle.  Working out can be a hard to fit into your schedule.  So what? You only have one body and you will reap what you sow.  There is a consequence for every action you take (or don't take).  Life is ALWAYS better after a workout and you never regret eating a clean, healthy meal.  Remember that.  Commit those feelings to memory and the next time you are tempted to skip a workout or eat something you know you shouldn't, think back to how awesome you feel after you make a good choice.  You will be glad you did.

Paleo Find of the Week:

I have a love/hate relationship with Costco.  The place is always packed and the check out lines stretch halfway through the store but when you get down to it you cannot beat the excellent options Costco provides.  My last trip to Costco produced a couple easy to transport, easy on the budget, clean protein finds.  Check it out!
Wild Planet Sardines are an excellent source of Omega 3 (885mg DHA and 210mg EPA) as well
as Coenzyme Q10.  A 6 pack was only $9.99 ($1.67/can).  The BPA free can is an easily option that
doesn't require refrigeration.  Awesome!
Loving the protein content.  One can has 25 grams of protein!
Bear & Wolf Wild Alaskan Salmon has 975 mg of Omega-3s per can.  Another option
that does not require refrigeration and is easy to transport.   A 6 pack was only $10.99 ($1.83/can)
The protein content is awesome with a whopping 39 grams of protein a can.
Have a "Paleo find" you would like to share with the group? Email dana@cfnorcal.com.  Enjoy!

  2. Also at Costco:
Grimaud Farms duck confit legs and canned lump crab meat (both in the refrigerated meat section).
NomNomPaleo has great recipes for these (cheater duck legs and krabby patties). You don't need a sous vide machine for the duck; just warm them in a pot of water at 140 for 45 min and crisp in a fry pan.
